the lonesome crowded west is a whole lot more aggressive in the long run as
well as much more intense.
this is a long drive sounds like it's making peace with something. i mean
some songs don't, but other songs really hit me like there was total peace
in the music. i dunno, it'd be too hard for me to say one is 'amazingly'
better than the other because i think that in some ways the albums are
quite different from each other. >>
actually, i phrased it wrong. i meant to say "this is a long drive" is
amazing and better. not amazingly better.
"lonesome crowded west" is a great album, but it seems like there is a spurt
of good songs and then one that just ruins the mood or flow, then some more
good songs, etc. i think the best songs on "lonesome crowded west" are just
as good as the best songs from "long drive," but as a whole i like the first
album more.
i will now refrain from overusing the words "good" and "song"....
