But you left out two of my favorite lines in the song! "You get six
months to adapt, and you get two more to leave town, and in the even
that you do adapt, we still might not want you around..." and "I give
myself three days to feel better, or else I swear I'm driving off a
fucking cliff, cause if I can't make myself feel better, how can I
expect anyone else to give a SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT"...
My favorite track on that album these days is "A Poetic Retelling of an
Unfortunate Seduction" - once I finally sat down to read the lyrics,
wow, it read like any one of a thousand nights I've lived - hanging out
at 3 a.m. in dark rooms getting stoned with goths, heads, punks, 16-30
year-old refugees from wars most people never even knew existed...
listening to a lot of Flaming Lips, Butthole Surfers, Spacemen 3,
Einsturzende Neubauten, Das Ich, the Damned... gosh I'm old.
