I think you are confusing the year 2000 with what (as you say)
:"fundamentalists, orthodox jews, 'biblical literalists'" believe. You have
heard of (as I'm sure they have) B.C. right? We're only 2000 years into A.D. &
nobody I have ever heard of is claiming that was the beginning.
