i am completely enamored with paul thomas anderson, even if he is dating
fiona apple. anyhow, before boogie nights, he did a film called hard eight
with john c. reilly (who is also in boogie nights and magnolia), gwyneth
paltrow, and samuel l. jackson. the film, overall, is a bit more understated
than boogie nights, but it's damn good. i'd highly recommend it to anyone.
(if you look hard, you'll also notice philip seymour hoffman, the colonel
(r.i.p.), the blonde girl from boogie nights whose name escapes me,and floyd
gondoli, all also in boogie nights)
