> REMEDIES: don't eat meat, don't eat dairy, excersise, set some time aside out > of your day to relax : mental health is just as important > as physical > ....and for god's sake, don't let doctors feed you medicine! meat is definitely NOT a solution to heal your health problems, that's for certain. i had to go to the emergency room the night after christmas because i had a horrible leg problem, and they've suggested that there's a 90%+ chance that i have lupus or some form of arthritis; both are very common in younger women. anyway, i've been studying up on how to ease the problems that come along with both of these diseases - since they're incredibly similar in symptoms, hazards, etc - and one way is to become a vegetarian. i've tried it before and it's hard, but if it keeps me from some of the problems i've had to deal with throughout my life, then i think it's worth it. eating meat and processed food both can really bring a person down both physically and mentally...and while it's not good to overwork yourself when you have something that ranges anywhere from a nose cold to arthritis, it's very important that you try and add some sort of walking exercise or errand run to your daily life rather than sitting around, because it may not make you feel better (or it might) but it is definitely better to be out and about rather than cluttered around..just don't get me sick ;) relax, stay comfortable, keep your most sensitive parts warm, don't eat meat, drink lots of water, spicy food (chinese food, anything curry oriented, middle eastern food is good), and try to keep on with your daily life as normally as you possibly can while..ya know..being moderately relaxed for your own health safety and comfort. oh, i'm really glad you pointed out the *do not let doctors feed you medicine thing.* that is so true. you go in for a checkup, you come out with influenza. i mean sure they can give you some antibiotics, but i'd feel better fending a virus off myself. a lot of people are really naive in going to the doctor for every little thing because they have the insurance to do it, and from personal experience on medicaid (yay we get real insurance in february!), i can say i've been way better off healthwise than people who do have that opportunity to go whenever. they get sick shitloads more than i do and as long as they're stuffing themselves with antibiotics, they're making those antibiotics less and less weak. at this rate, if people with insurance keep going to the doctors for dumb causes as much as they do, our antibiotics will be pretty much useless to those who really do need them. that's my health rant for the millenium, amy, forrest gump 4eva y0 :P
