Friends: You are all making me homesick! I lived in Philly and Boston and traveled through the south yearly, so Waffle House, WaWa, Bickford's, Turkey Hill; they all have a special place in my heart. But here in Warsaw we have something like you have never experienced... THE FOODBUS! This here foodbus is... well, a bus. Parked in front of the Palace of Culture, this beautiful, broken down, blue, thirty-footer serves the finest in kielbasa, pierogies, liver, fasolka (it's a beany soupy thing) and pork-like chop thing... fried pork or I think pork. Anyway, you walk on like you enter any bus, order from the fine looking gentleman at the front, take your seat somewhere on the bus (just like elementary school) and enjoy! The foodbus is opened from 11pm until 5am. I know of no one who as ever been there sober (nor would I want to be there sober, it's more disgusting than you can fathom), and only once has someone (as far as I know) found a tooth in their kielbasa. In my two years living here, I have yet to have better kielbasa than from the Foodbus, but eat at your own risk. It is truly a treasure. BYE BYE Christian ps- if any one really cares and for some reason wants to see what the foodbus looks like, I have a jpeg of it and would be more than happy to mail it to you. Just email me sometime.
