Seeing Tool did the exact same thing for me, ironically.

     I don't know how, either.

     Two spring to mind immediately.

November 23rd, 1996 when I saw Tool at the Electric Factory in
Philadelphia (collective groan for the venue, I know). Beautiful, amazing,
nearly spiritual show. I would love to go on explaining what it was like,
but I think you have to 1) enjoy the music in the first place, and 2)
actually be there. Suffice to say that it blew me away and I was a walking
zombie for a good 4 days following the show while I recovered from it.

May 22nd, 1999, when I saw Sleepytime Trio for the first time at the
Stalag 13 in Philadelphia. Again, a blow-away show. Great vibe, great
crowd, great energy, tight as hell. Just really impressive. I saw them
two more times with Hose Got Cable on December 2nd and 3rd of 1999 at the
Unitarian Church in Philadelphia and The Terrace Club over in Princeton,
NJ. They were still amazing, which was pretty comforting because I was
afraid it was a fluke the first time around.

I didn't remember all of those dates on purpose. Dates and numbers
just end up sticking in my head.

Oh yeah. The Rah Bras really ruled, too.
