romeo must die: ok granted some of the action scenes were pretty nice with the x-ray effects and all but most of the this movie just put me to S L E E P. blah nobody in it could act (not that jet li really needs to be able to ) and the dialogue was written by a bunch of ten year olds pretending to write an action flick. WHY was there SO much talking. sheesh they shoulda just had about twenty minutes of car chases and fight scenes and cut the rest of the crap. and whats with the title. it shoulda been called "mob warfare on the waterfront" heh i'm bitching. but when you pay $8 you want a GOOD movie. i really really really wanna see high fidelity.and ghost dog. and american psycho when it finally comes out. then maybe i'll get my money's worth. nyu banned napster too. the kids here are all up in arms. and i agree its horrible that it was banned. although i really feel like indie kids should BUY cds. cos the artists need the money. its not like we're supposting mega-corporations. just the people who make the music and deserve the money for it. as for michigan fest i missed getting that new modest mouse cdr thing but i did get some sort of horrible cold that has yet to subside (and i didnt even play spin the bottle sheesh). i did buy the new milemarker (its amazing!) and the new pedro the lion (pretty good. lame packaging but quality music). other highlights: getting to watch naked boys from floriduh mosh it up for the locust, eating vegan pancakes, le shok's ultra sexual set, heartholding and finger pointing for rainer maria, and meeting some really amazing kids. avoiding an essay for eight o'clock class, sara
