OK, first things first:
You use a yard sale record player on yr brand new
vinyl, it will never sound the same ever again. I am
living testament to this fact. When you place a
needle on a slab of wax, even the most perfect stylus
is doing the slightest damage to the groove... and old
record players with worn and dirty needles (that
sounds bad, doesn't it? you're a rekkid addikt) cause
even more wear and tear on a new purchase. Although I
understand that money doesn't grow on trees, you will
be thankful that you bought a new record player when
yr records are 5-10 years older. I'm speaking from
experience, and I ruined lots of good records on this
sweet Pioneer with a nice swivel arm that had a
concrete block for a base... that thing was rawk
solid.
My recommendation? Ask for one for C-mas. It works.
Secondly, hockey.
Yeah, the Pens look down and out, don't they? I have
faith, bay-bee. I'm not going to run down excuses
(like the shoddy officiating that BOTH teams have been
seeing, but they are particularly cognizant of Barnaby
and Kaspar, aren't they?), it's been a hard-fought and
entertaining series so far, but it's not over yet.
Thirdly, the new LP
I was under the (incorrect?) impression that Up might
be pulling LP-duty for the new release. Can anyone
confirm or vehemently deny that?
