I was in London a few months ago. There are a few really good record stores near the Notting Hill Gate station. They are part of this chain called....I forget...something like the Record Exchange. There's also a men's and women's clothing thrift store that is part of this chain. They are all within a block or two of each other. I found a ton of good hard-to-find shit there. Also, on a weekend, spend an entire day at Camden Market. It's amazing. I spent three days there. i miss british boys. .mer.
