>From Billboard: The members of cult duo Tenacious D (Jack Black and Kyle Gass) are developing a feature film, tentatively titled "The Tenacious D Project," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pair had a short-lived series on HBO, and previously appeared on the network's sketch comedy program "Mr. Show." Of late, Black has co-starred in the big-screen comedy "High Fidelity," and has recently been linked to a number of anticipated movies, including Mike Myers' forthcoming film "Dieter," based on "Sprockets," a sketch he honed on "Saturday Night Live." For some time, a major-label bidding war to secure the services of Tenacious D has been underway, but the band signed with Epic last month. Black's rendition of Marvin Gaye's soul classic "Let's Get It On" is featured on Hollywood's "High Fidelity" soundtrack.
