woah...hold on.
You shop at the Gap. You listen to Modest Mouse. If you head Modest Mouse in the Gap,
you would feel offended and as if "theres no place [for you] to go anymore" without
hearing them?

That just doesn't make any sense.

I shop at the Gap (though usually only when someone else is paying). I listen to
Modest Mouse (no matter who is paying). These are two things about me, two components
to my personality. Why should it be a problem for me if two aspects of my life (and
not embarrassing, painful thing; two things I feel alright about) collide? And it
shouldn't be about keeping things to ourselves. I remeber 1992-1994, when I liked
almost everything on "alternative" radio. That was a good time. I wouldn't mind if I
could turn on the radio again.

And PLEASE, do we have to use 'gay' as a derogatory descriptive?

bitch/modest mouse thing. Yeah, I'm stupid for messing it up, it was apples
in stereo playing in the store, not MM. I am a retard. BUT...Amy has many
good points about this issue (and thanx for backing a retard like me, and
yeah GAP clothes are flattering, but way to expensive) How long do you
think it will be before they do play MM in places like A&B and the Gap? I
didn't see anyone disagree w/ me about my sterotype of A&B wearin' people
being stupid and annoying. I would feel personally offended to hear MM in
those types of corporate stores. I wall shut up about this issue....now.

i wouldn't be as distraught about apples in stereo playing in a + f cos
they're not that great. i don't know how many people are like "apples in
stereo are the BEST BAND EVER!" you're right about gap clothes, they're
really expensive, but they last a long time and consistantly look good so i
don't care. my khakis are hot but my mom won't let me wear them casually
:( i pray that mm won't ever be played in abercrombie or the gap. i, like
you, would be offended if i heard them and i'd feel like there's no place
for me to go anymore without the same people that forced me out of my own
school that my mom pays $250 taxes a year for there also. i don't wanna
have to deal with that anymore, that's part of the reason i like indie
rock.
by the way, i just saw modestmousemusic.com today and the content is gay
but the layout is absolutely gorgeous.
