I think its really simple:
If you've never seen Sonic Youth before, its yr duty as a fan to see them. They are yr 
godparents, like it or not.
However, if, like me, you've seen SY six times, three times more than you feel is 
really necessary since they've played the same show four times in a row and the 
quality of the show depends on whether Kim is in a good mood anyway, and like me yr 
just starting to realise how mush you like Death Cab for Cutie,you should go see Death 
Cab for Cutie. But maybe I'm just jaded...
