see the thing that i got about both the great gatsby and in cold blood, two
of my favorite books, was that both truman capote and f. scott fitzgerald
put so much illustration about their characters and the lives of the
characters into their stories, that i don't really find it obnoxious. more
than anything i found the details to be helpful to the scenes. if you
couldn't find use out of the details in bukowski's literature than there's
either a conflict between you and the book or the author went about adding
details in an unorganized fashion. same with the great gatsby.
