here here! (or is it supposed to be "hear! hear!"? i've always
wondered...) it's bad enough denying the Zep, but denying Elvis
is inexcusable...i hate to harp on the age thing again, but i do
think that years (or the experience that comes with it?) leads
to a broadening of horizons and wider appreciation (esp. music
wise) as there were plenty of bands/artists i thought sucked in
my teens that i love and appreciate now (Zep and Elvis
included). i'm not saying you will ever like Zep, but maybe
learn to appreciate things down the road that you do not now.
(as for Elvis, he's a genius, end of subject, and Zep are just
good ol' rock and roll). and you can't blame Zeppelin for all
the sucky bands that came after them. thats like blaming sonic
youth for all the sucky bands that imitate them. blame the music
industry.
