<< I was there. Yes, Bright Eyes sucked, but I don't think it was the middle
east's fault. It was Conner who broke his own string and Conner's equipent
that was malfunctioning. And they said he had time for another song, but he
didn't seem to care. I don't think he was really trying very hard to make
the best of a bad situation. The only thing the Middle East did (or didn't
do rather) that made me mad was not kicking out that fucking heckler in the
back. >>
true, it was just kinda an off night. But, I've never been fond of the middle
east...especially upstairs. The sound is awful and things always seem to go
wrong that never go wrong anywhere else. Tonight was Mark Kozalek of Red
House Painters. It was hot as hell with way too many people inside. And the
best part was that during quiet songs you could hear the shit fom the Corner
or Downstairs. awesome. Even he was getting pissed. It was still a good show,
though.
Boston is in deperate need of a better venue for small shows.
