No ..you're "IDOITICALLY DUMB AND MISINFORMED"...the state party
structure gets to choose the delegates...not the candidate...and in some cases
they can change their vote....a Dukakis delegate at:the 1988 electoral college
changed her vote from Dukakis to Bentsen
>Supreme Court- What Justin said is totally true; 2-4

shit.
:>Regan apointed Souter and Ginsberg. Souter

"IDIOTICALLY DUMB AND MISINFORMED". Reagan appointed O'Connor,
elevated Rhenquist to chief justice, appointed Scalia, and Kennedy. Bush
appointed Souter and Thomas. Clinton sponsored Ginsburg and Breyer.
:> Do you really think that Gore would appoint a liberal to the supreme

:>supreme court?! If you do, i'll pay for the proctologist visit, really i
will.
Somehow Clinton was able to appoint two
liberals in a rabidly anti-Clinton atomsphere. It all begins on the nominee
themselves and their background whether they get through the process. The senate
usually defers to the President, unless there are serious questions about the
nominee.
:>If there's *anything* that Bush is, its power hungry. He's not
going to :>jepordize his chance at another four years in office by doing
:>anything to disturb the 6-3 majority on abortion rights.
:>He's not *that* dumb. GET REAL....recent history gives us the
blueprints as to what will happen when Bush will replace a Supreme Court
justice. He will either find a "stealth" nominee, who doesn't have
much of an ideological paper trail, but has a good pedigree, like Bush's dad did
with Souter. Or more likely, G dub will appoint the first Hispanic justice, or
he'll appoint another minority. In today's image politics where image and
race/gender has alot of significance this will hinder any meaningful opposition,
much like G dub's daddy did with Clarence Thomas nomination. Believe me, Bush's
operatives are very savvy and will make sure that they get someone who it'll be
very difficult for the opposition to assail, but is assured to be on the
conservative side of the court.
Get your own facts straight before
you call other posters stupid and misinformed otherwise your opinions mean
little and you might as well shut the blinds and whistle your political opinions
in the dark.
