did this get cut off? i thought i had read it before and there was more to
it, but maybe not...
anyway, yeah, it's basically that: anything that we don't do is bad, or at
least this is the perception about our country that we carry. i want to
project this to the world that that's just not the case, and until that
does get projected to its fullest we'll have these bullshit politics that
say "we're the smartest and we're gonna force this down your throat" like
we manage to do so well.
now, i'm certainly not anti-american and i don't think anyone else should
be; i'm just anti-american politics. the thing is, we have (or at least we
HAD) a beautiful nation full of interesting history - namely our national
forests and state parks - so in that aspect i'm very proud to be in
america. lately it's been hard to be an american tho..has anyone seen the
bias that goes on on fox news? i can't watch that without feeling sick.
they couldn't possibly exclaim their bias anymore than they already have
for george w. bush. as far as politics go, america is a huge
disappointment to me.
of course..today i turned on headline news and saw how the japanese are
supposedly killing whales for 'research' and then turning them into meat.
talk about a disappointment :~( on the other hand, we have republicans
that were fairly recently talking about going into alaska and drilling
holes to get more gasoline. not sure which is worse, but unfortunately one
has already started taking place.
oh, i don't wanna go on a tangent about gasoline or anything, but i don't
think i can stop myself ;) i don't get how people who own SUVs can whine
about how they have to pay so much for gasoline. in most countries people
pay like $5/gallon...what we pay is cheap. most people don't even need
SUVs and yet they have them just to go down to the video store. it pisses
me off, it's not necessary, and the last thing that we need is to go into
alaska just to get gas for assholes that are ALWAYS IN MY FUCKING WAY WHEN
I'M DRIVING ANYHOW.
