Indie rock favorites Modest Mouse will take to the road in support of "The Moon & Antarctica," its major-label debut for Epic, with a North American tour set to kick off Sept. 4 at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle. Not all dates are confirmed, but the trek will include a Sept. 22-23 stand at New York's Irving Plaza and is set to wrap Oct. 8-9 at the Fillmore in San Francisco. 764-Hero, Black Heart Procession, and the Shins will offer support on various dates. "The Moon & Antarctica" debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and at No. 120 on The Billboard 200 in June. The album has sold 36,405 copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan. An as-yet-selected track from the set will be serviced to radio to coincide with the tour's launch.
