So what's the deal with the Promise Ring? I've heard more about them than
any other indie band in the last couple of years (excluding ones I already
knew of course). I bought "Nothing Feels Good" awhile ago, but I only really
like a few songs....Nothing Feels Good, B Is For Bethlehem, Forget Me, maybe
one or two more. The rest of it sounds really repetitive and straightforward
to me.
So my questions: is this album a good indication of their stuff? Is there
better Promise Ring albums out there? What am I missing about this band?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated, positive or negative.
