To dusty the promise ring guy: I'm not too familiar
with PR's older stuff. What I have heard, I like
better than the new "pink" material. It's definitely
poppy. not bad, just not my cup o' tea.

have you heard any of the new jets to brazil? I don't
like that "time of my life" song very much. But I am
counting on them to provide some rock action when the
jets make their connecting flight in Austin. [ but
first I have to endure the Gloria Record [they fill me
with the urge to defecate]. Maybe i can play some
Galaga at the bar during their set.

sounds like you have some decent shows in philly. I
saw Pedro and T.W. Walsh here a while back. I was
very impressed. Pedro came through with the FLAWLESS
VICTORY. T.W. Walsh was pretty good, but I like that
electric folk a la Neil Young and/or Will Oldham. So
he grew on me after a few songs. I also saw Ida that
night [very good live, albums are watered down] and,
finally, left after 3 songs of gloria record [deep
hurting].

There's nothing wrong with catchy pop-like
music/hooks. But there is a line that should
definitlely not be crossed. Once it has been
breached, it's goodbye P.Ring/JTB, hello Eve 6/Goo Goo
Dolls. Lets pray that these Jade Tree staples keep
their cojones intact.
