Can anyone tell me how Solid Gold lasted so long?
They couldn't even get the actual artists in to sing
their songs, so Marylin McCoo and some other buttmunch
would try to sing hit songs like "Beat It" as a duet.
Then there were the comic stylings of the puppet,
Madame.
Any of you remember America's #1 lipsync gameshow,
"Putting on the Hits"? That and Solid Gold were a
good way to kill a Saturday/Sunday afternoon along
with a few brain cells.
I'm going on vacation. Going to see Tight Bros from
Way Back When on Saturday, then I'm taking a week off
for a little R&R. Somebody please feed my goldfish.
