Didn't I read somewhere that mod_perl (at least v1.2 and later) no
longer support Apache 1.2.x?
Perhaps you should think about upgrading. Some of the add-on-goodies
on CPAN need at least Perl 5.005_03, but I think you would want to go
for a later version than that in any case.
