I think you meant this to go to an apache list, not mod_perl...
But anyway... when I used Squid as the front-end cache, I could force
it to reload images by using a SHIFT-Reload in netscape on the image
in question. This would make Netscape send some magic pragma header
to squid that would make it refetch the image from its source rather
than use the cached copy. I don't know if that would work on
mod_proxy, but you could give it a try.
