Hi all, PassionUp.com is now running mod_perl! This site has grown in leaps and bounds in the last year. We are now serving over 10 million hits per day, and have maxed out at over 30 million (valentines day 2001). When the site launched, only a small portion of the site was dynamic (using PERL/CGI), but as our client's needs changed, the portion of the dynamic content increased as well. To lower costs and increase efficiency with the same hardware, we began using a mod_proxy/mod_perl combination. We have gone from 3-4 hits/second with CGI to around 50 with mod_perl. PassionUp.com is an upstart company on a shoestring budget, but we plan to be the Internet's largest greeting card site in the future. We'll see you then! Charles M.
