About Web Juice
---------------
Web Juice, LLC provides high-end engineering consulting services
to internet startups. The company was founded in March, 1999 and
received seed funding from Venture Frogs, LLC in May, 1999. The
company currently employs twelve people with diverse industry
experience (Oracle, Microsoft, LinkExchange, Andersen, Sapient) and
academic backgrounds (Penn, Harvard, Berkeley, Princeton, MIT).

The Web Juice Advantage
-----------------------
Web Juice takes its revenue in a mix of cash and equity. This
unique payment structure benefits our clients by reducing their
cash outlay while aligning our interests with theirs. At the same
time, our employees get to participate in our clients' success.

Employees have the benefit of working for a new breed of consulting
company that will help build the next generation of internet
companies. A typical client engagement lasts 3-6 months, which
gives our engineers the opportunity to work with a range of clients
and technologies.

Key Differentiators
-------------------
Unlike other consulting firms, we have focused exclusively on
startups from our inception. This focus lets us tailor our services
to maximize our value to startups. With our seasoned experience
building scalable internet architectures, we give our clients a
major time-to-market advantage, one that is critical in today's
competitive climate.

Often, our clients come to us with only a business plan and depend
on our expertise and creativity to turn their idea into reality.
We design and build their entire technical infrastructure, architecting
their systems and choosing the right tools and platforms. One of
our strongest values is our determination to build things right
the first time.

In addition to these engineering responsibilities, we also help
our clients lay the foundation for their own internal engineering
by advising their hiring and setting up their development processes.

Web Juice Client Companies
--------------------------
EXP.com (formerly known as Advoco.com) was retained in April of
1999. Web Juice designed and built most of the startup's technology
in a two-phase project that ended mid-September. In a highly
competitive space, Web Juice carried EXP.com to market ahead of
the competition while training its engineering force. In the course
of the project, EXP.com grew from four to sixty people and raised
funding from prominent investors including CMGI, Bessemer, Bowman
Capital, Draper Richards, Oracle, and Venture Frogs.

Web Juice's other clients include Topica, SayIt!, and BBQ.com. The
investors behind these startups include SoftBank Holdings, August
Capital, and Highland Capital Partners.

Entrepreneurs and venture capitalists alike have responded
enthusiastically to Web Juice's services. We help our clients do
more, better, and faster than they could on their own.

What We're Looking For
----------------------
Experience programming in Perl and C/C++. Familiarity with
Linux, FreeBSD, Apache, mod_perl, and GNU tools is a plus.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics; coursework
in operating systems and computer networks;
Foosball players are encouraged to apply.
