Stas:

Once again, you've put your words to good use.

I can appreciate the frustrations of those who flame. I know what kind
of state I'm in after X days of trying to figure out a single, stupid
problem. But objectively, it's best for us all to appreciate that
what we've got going on here is something special, fueled by the good
intentions and creative efforts of those who chose to participate in it.

Not only should we all have an appreciate of each other on the level of
software-producer and software-consumer, but also as human beings
expressing our passion for hack-worthy things.

To those who have flamed: Rationally, do you think that you've advanced
anything by doing so? In a situation like this, where there cannot be
any coersion, the only way to advance things forward (including your own
personal position!) is through expressions of appreciation. No matter
what your situation is, it can't be so bad that "burning bridges" is
the _best_ use of your time. You can find some positive way to contribute,
and you just might be happy with what it brings you.

To those who have been on the receiving end of flames: You are appreciated,
and your best efforts speak for themselves on all levels. And while the
flamer certainly has acted inappropriately, hopefully you can appreciate
their actions mainly as those of a fellow human acting out of pain
and frustration rather than out of actual malice. [Frustration makes
us all do dumb things. *sigh* :-) ]

Best regards,
Richard
