Unfortunately I would guess not. The above message is not due to a
failure to connect, but rather to an existing connection being
terminated. I really don't see why this happens, but you should check
your Sybase server logs for any stack trace information or other error 
conditions.

Again - if the log or tempdb fills up you should normally get an
explicit message to that effect.
