Configuring for Apache, Version 1.3.12

configure:Error: invalid option '-file'
can't open /Makefile No such file or dir
Am I having version problems here? First off mod_perl
is looking for Configure, not configure, so I made a
symlink. Then I get the above error saying
invalid option '-file' so configure dies and makes
no makefile.
