Linking apache httpd on IRIX 6.5.9 (64bit) ????

All,

I have compiles mod_perl - OK
When I compile and link apache_1.3.14 I get the following :

cc -64 [cut out] -o httpd ...

ld64 : FATAL 9 : I/O error (1110): No such file or directory
cc ERROR: /usr/lib32/cmplrs/ls64 returned non-zero statsus 32

Has anybody seen this or can offer a solution ?
