Ditto. 4 years ago, insurance qualifier for a brokerage firm. The HTML->PDF made a nice "what you see on your screen is what printed at the home office" for the users. And the home office loved not having to decipher mangled handwritten faxes. Another product I've used for (gasp) Java is Root River systems. Very nice report-writer type API with decent page-flow behaviours. Don't know if you can run a JServ+mod_perl or JPerl hybrid, though.
