setup_inherited_listeners

Hi there

I've used Google to scan the mod_perl home site as
well as Yahoo Groups to scan this list's archives,
but found no reference to setup_inherited_listeners.

This messages is in my error log when Apache fails
to initiate:

[crit] (109)The pipe has been ended: setup_inherited_listeners: Unable to read socket data from parent

Could someone please tell me what a likely cause is?
My mod_perl application seems to compile without problems,
and runs on another machine with the same(-ish) setup.

The bad news is: this is perl version 633 from ActiveState,
and a binary mod_perl which, as I say, works with it on
another machine.
