Hi, I have developed a new web authoring tool that enables developers to write web sites in Oracle's PL/SQL programming language (the underlying software however is written in mod_perl). This is the first announcement released to the public. If you work in an Oracle centric shop, you might be interested in this. If you are interested in this project, please join my mailing list on SourceForge. Thanks to Jonathan Swartz for his input of making this an open source project, and the excellent code base of Mason 1.2. Any input is welcome. http://orats.sourceforge.net/ <http://orats.sourceforge.net/> --------------------------------------------------------------------- OraTS: Oracle-based Template System OraTS is a fast-development component-based template system built on Oracle 9i. It is inspired by JSP and mod_perl/Mason <http://www.masonhq.com> . Instead of using Java or Perl, OraTS enables web developers to use Oracle PL/SQL as your web authoring language. If you are a PL/SQL intensive developer, OraTS is for you. Its goal is to simplify the infrastructure complexity and skill set required of the web development in an Oracle centric shop. Once OraTS is set up, all you need to do is to write PL/SQL and HTML code in a local file system. Your web pages will just show up in front of you right away... Important features includes ... * Component-Based * Fast Development * PL/SQL as Web Authoring Language * Superior SQL Performance * Session Support * Robust And Simple This project is not affiliated with Oracle Corporation at all. All the related softwares can be obtained free of charge, except the Oracle 9i Server.
