I'm not quite sure how Barry did this, but this is sopposed to be impossible. Makefile.PL is supposed to block when/if if find pre RC ?

999021 is RC4......

Barry, see here just in case so that doesn't trip you up down the road

joes: any possibility of improving that error message in 2.07-dev ?

Maybe it's a problem with the fact that my Perl is in /opt/perl and it's not finding everything when it checks?

My perl path is:

  @INC:
    /opt/perl-5.8.6/lib/5.8.6/i686-linux
    /opt/perl-5.8.6/lib/5.8.6
    /opt/perl-5.8.6/lib/site_perl/5.8.6/i686-linux
    /opt/perl-5.8.6/lib/site_perl/5.8.6
    /opt/perl-5.8.6/lib/site_perl

I have a symlink so that /opt/perl (and /opt/perl/bin etc.) can be used.
