Hi Tom: My understanding is that mod_perl does not yet build under Apache
2.4.X, but only 2.2.X or 2.0.X.
Others on this list have status for when 2.4.X compatibility might be
ready.

I haven't tried to debug the build yet--looks like maybe an
out-of-date dependency (or Apache/APR too recent).
I'm going to try the trunk version...
Tried that (rev 1387800) but got same failure.
