Davy
Please accept my apologies for the long delay in replying to your post, but
I don't log on as often as you do, as I have a life. I was tempted to leave
you simmering in your own bile, and treat your obnoxious comments with the
contempt they truly deserve, but I'm not one to back away from a fight, I
have to say, "C'mon then, tough guy, let's see what you're made of".
What right have you got to call me a moron?
I think your are being a little too paranoid if you think I was suggesting
that it was "you" who said there shouldn't be any black music played in Mod
clubs. I think that you are missing the point if you think that guys like
myself and Julian like jazz because it appeals to our intellects, personally
it makes me want to dance (I for one do not go for the symphonic sounds of
Duke Ellington though, as a person of intellect, I can appreciate it). On
the other hand, I would not drone on and on about it if I did like it,
unless some complete arse was giving the usual Neanderthal argument used for
all prejudice, musical, racial or otherwise, that because they don't like
it, it must be wrong, and therefore has no place in their sorry worlds. I
do not believe that you have to like Jazz to be a Mod, but take away that,
then the Blues, then Soul, and what have you got? Some white blokes
playing...erm, their own versions of Jazz, and Blues and Soul, and someone
else calling it "Garage". What music do you like, out of interest? And out
of interest, does anyone else think that Davy may have overreacted,
slightly?
You are correct in one point; I am an elitist; that is what makes me ally
myself to this group who call ourselves Mods, on the other hand, I do not
own a made to measure suit, so many of our more sartorially elitist
subscribers would say I am not a Mod.
I could bang on about this all day, but won't because I have spent the last
20 years trying to explain it to people I like, so why would I waste any
more of my energy on a complete fool like you?
Keep your ignorance to yourself, you silly rude little boy
