My favorite version of Respect is the one we play in Pep Band, at the
(american) football and basketball games. I've never heard
"sock-it-to-me" sound so butchered. I think my band teacher picked it
out for me because I told him I liked early Motown stuff. Gee, thanks,
Mr. Putterman.
