 What?!?  More than a few astute mods--on the list & off--have observed how 
'mod' Wylde was...I consider him a mod prototype (protomod), & certainly the 
Edwardian aesthetic shaped mod extensively.

Any doubts? See the 1960's version of 'Portrait of Dorian Gray', with Helmut 
Berger: perhaps the most mod film I've ever seen.
