I gotta agree with Mark Sandon with his "you really
had to be there.." Like many of the younger list
members who defend Brit-Pop when us "oldies" slag it
off we defend bands that were very exciting and
"fresh" at the time. A lot of them have stayed
exciting to me even 20 years on! Not all of them mind
but more than a few. Hey and the fashions are still
hip as well, cept them Jam shoes... oooh.

re: Talk Talk... The Reaction track "Talk Talk"
previously mentioned was also produced by Mark's
brother Ed Hollis. That's his brother right?
But I dunno Davey, Squire? I consider them to be one
of the poorer bands. Gimme the Chords anyday.

True about Hollis' singing though. Now if that guy
ain't depressed I don't know. They used to play Talk
Talk at work all the time and I would be ready to kill
people after 15 minutes.

Dave Cairns from Secret Affair was an absolutely
stunning guitarist. did he cut it live... Mark?
Anyone heard any of the post Affair things that Cairns
did? I bet they bite in an 80s kind of way.
