Why thank you very much! Mind you. I had to learn all the tricks too! I
remember coming back from my first Northern all-nighter and asking mi Mum to
teach me how to dance. It just takes a little practice, and the bird in my
house will testify to that as it sometimes sounds like I'm about to come
through the ceiling. Ahh the joys of having a big room and a nylon carpet!

I know how you feel. I remember once, it was actually the first time I went
down the Beach, there was this bloke there who I still claim is the best
dancer I've ever seen. He was all over the place. Fastest feet I've ever
encountered. Never seen him since. I think he might have self destructed! I
took a picture of him in action. Please, please, don't think that I'm the
dogs bollocks. Cos I'm not. A visit to any Northern night will prove that.
But these are the origiantors, innovators. I'd recommend to learn from these
guys. 40 plus and still the greatest dancers in the world.
Also, don't get intimidated by me or anyone else down there. I know
it's difficult (Tinx always gets told she's intimidating! She's not, believe
me) It just ends up being counterproductive. Kids who wanna dance feel like
they can't. Well, listen to me when I tell you that the only way that you
get the moves is by getting on the floor, fuck everyone else, you dance
sonny Jim! You'll just get better and better believe me! If you're ever down
and you see me again, just say hello. I'd like to think I'm pretty
approachable. Julian is also one of the gezzers to meet. You'll never meet a
more approachable person. And if you've got the time to talk to him, you'll
be blown away by his 60's trivia! We once sat up till 8am talking! I think
we'll both be down tomorrow night, I'll certainly be there. And probably the
last to leave...
