My husband has really thick wavy hair. He refuses to use any "girlie" type products such as hair spray, irons, etc. I personally LIKE the little curls around the ears, but alas, a friend recommended "Frizz Ease". Not too expensive and works quite well. You can find in in almost any store. He can almost get through a wet humid day without a curl. And you apply it when your hair is wet so no yucky texture.
