Hello there Paul,
that's sounds kinda cosy after the aniverasry shindig, but I
warn you,I don'y play one night stands.Unless...
Secondy,I play the guitar,I'm responsible for playing lots
of nice solos..etc without grimacing like a constipated goon
every time I bend a note.
Thirdly,I do love 6ts garage/psyche/freakbeat but not many peope
know about my affiliation with jazz/blues.
I do enjoy modern Jazz. Its emergence in the 50s led to a lot
of experimentation, such as teh 'cool' movement. It's figures
such a sMiles Davis is the type of jazz I prefer listening to
as opposed to Big Band or Swing Jazz or the 1920s jazz styles
of say Louis Armstrong or King Oliver.
Listen to 'Kind of Blue' by Miles Davis and you'll know what I mean.
this leads me to free form jazz as well. The everchanging 6ts also meant Jazz
being involoved as well.Spontaneous and experimental,
check out Eric Dolphy,Davis, and John Coltrane of course.
At the other end of the scale I cannot stand the jazz-fusion of
the 1970s.Combining jazz with rock!..etc..I think you'll know
what i mean when I say have you heard Miles Davis' Bitches Brew
or even is later album Doo Bop.UUUmm..
To me,Jazz is the chilling music, but before I'm going out or on a night out
I want to hear Garage and Psyche and freakbeat.
Bands like the Birds,The yardbirds and the artwoods have always been
close to my heart 'cause they get me in the mood!
Bloody hell,I'm going on a bit now.

Right,I'll stop while I'm getting boring!
Ryan
