If this has been mentioned excuse the repeat...a newly constructed dance club venue in the heart of Hollywood (quite near old Moguls) is happening this WEDNESDAY, Nov. 3 (venue name is BLUE)...all 60's enthusiasts/mod types and all out cool folk need to show support for this OPENING NIGHT...Andy Franzle (former Shout and Solid dj) is going to have one of the two rooms isolated for 60's/mod/soul music. This is apparently a fairly interesting new space and definitely a great dancing opportunity that needs FULL SUPPORT from all!!!!!!! TO GET ON THE OPENING NIGHT *GUEST LIST*: Andy said any current *mod* or *60's type* people on the scene for some time, and know Andy, or can convince him that you REALLY want to be supporting him and this music...(probably wont take much convincing) as Andy wants a fair crowd for this opening venture. You need to reach him at his store Vinyl Fetish (on Melrose) call information for the number and talk to Andy...you should be a definite scenester who dances at will and will be showing up to kick it up!!! terry. CLUB SOLID: This coming Saturday, November 6th, is CLUB SOLID...featuring the return of The MOJO FILTERS at 10pm sharp! Plus, the soulful/psych/organ sounds of The Tyde at 11pm. Dj's spinning the best in *hard* 60's dance music...non-commercial, but exceedingly GREAT , GREAT, dance music !!! LAS VEGAS GRIND: The Las Vegas Grind was an ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL, PHENOMENAL, event ...!!!!!!!! major kudos to Tom Ingram and the complete organization who put it on...plus, thanks to all the bands, performers, and of course the great dj's ... i personally had an amazing time that blew my mind...it really was unforgettable!!! Special extremely warm thanks to two incredible people...Lucy Jane and James who put me up for the two nights I was there and i found them both to be really sincerely right-on people who are perhaps the best two coolest shakin'/all out groovin' dancing fiends from the states of Utah and Colorado!!! Thanks again guys and hope to see you at the next big event! ...or come to LA on a first Saturday for Solid. Also, great to meet, hang, and talk with the wonderfully cool most graceful, beautiful, intelligent, witty, and downright MEGA-righton dear lady KATRINA DIXON ... San Francisco is in for a treat this week as Katrina makes a stopover for to visit the mod/60's beautiful world by the bay (and also to catch Nick Rossi Set and Flamingo West)...people should say hi and greet this astoundingly cool lady.
