Well Bob if it wasn't for the simple matter that Cave Stomp seems to be this
racket set up to get extra $ funneled to old bastards...
The Monks were shite in the 60's (overated, despite the fact that a quarter
of my friends love them, sorry folks) and The Watchband never played on
their own records. Bring me The Monkees at least they had a funny t.v. and
weren't aping Mick Jagger......So there you have that, as for The Pretty
Things, they were good in the 60's (and rather consistantly I might add)so
they were worth a peek at Maxwell's plus it wasn't 25 fucking dollars to see
them and I knew Eppy would give them and The Moonies all the $, whereas Cave
Stomp seems to be a dole for old bands while the new bands get thrown a
crumb and let some 58 year old fucker who doesn't own an amp anymore because
his old band just reformed three months ago use his gear...sound familiar?
As for my brown ale, that wasn't very nice..........

RE: Prisoners. Lee grab any and all of these CD's:"A Taste Of Pink"(Own Up
Records),"Thewisermiserdemelza" (Big Beat) and "The Last Fourfathers" (Own
Up). The latter being my personal fave, sounds like The Troggs meet Deep
Purple's first lp with Joe Meek producing! Lo fi at times but still decent
after all those years.
                        Bill Luther
