It was less of a defense of you, specifically, than an expression
of my general disgust in the way she feels the need to comment upon other
peoples' appearances any time a photo she glances at doesn't meet her
standards. Judging from the mail I've received, I'm not the only one who
was getting sick of it. It just so happens it was a post regarding your
picture that I finally responded to.
