I'm rather fond of slang dictionaries. One that I really like is "Flappers
2 Rappers." While rather cutesy in places, it deserves merit, because the
author notes references to slang of previous generations, etc. It's pretty
small, but a good jumping off point.

Subject: Beat talk
Anyone want to share some 'beat talk' or Jazz phrases - i'm doing a touch
of research into 'beat talk' and jazz speak. Anybody got any good phrases
and their translations that they want to share? I'd really 'dig' the
help...(plus it might be fun)
Tinx - "my nylons are swinging" apparently.
