So, what is it like? Is there much difference between Sheffield and
Leeds?
I have never been before, just curious to know as it sounds like a
good night out...

its been mentioned on this list that there is a better atmosphere
these days at Sheffield and Leicester and that Leeds perhaps saw it's best
days three years ago or more.
I have to say I only started going to Leeds BB around three years
ago and I do have to admit that over this time things seem more relaxed.
However don't get me wrong I still love the place just as much every time I
go.
(A) because its one of the only real chances I get to be around like
minded people who appear to be really nice folk, only I wouldn't know
because as mentioned in the past I one of these strange folk who just stand
there all night not daring to socialise.
(B) But just as important to me is not only the people but the music.
The thing I find about Sheffield is that the venue, The City Ball
Room, is just so damn big compared to that of the Cockpit or nowadays known
as the rocket in Leeds.
My guesses on the atmosphere in Sheffield being better, is that this
event only happens here once a month. (I am informed that this is due to
the cost of hiring the joint, the cost is also the reason why they don't
have bands on here because there is no money left over the pay the folk.)
However I guess the fact that it is only once a month means that
people look forward to it more creating a better atmosphere, "I love a party
with a happy atmosphere" as the crap song lyric goes.
I don't know I may be talking rubbish but I do know there is a
whole load of different people who make it to the Sheffield night who you
never see at Leeds and this is one of the main reasons that I occasionally
go to the Sheffield event. As well of course as the fact that in room two
you get more DJ's playing which in my opinion you get a nicer array of
tunes.
I enjoy going to Sheffield but what I like about Leeds is the size
of room two, for me (Providing you don't get a heard of scruffy students
charging in doing there Austin Powers/Gap advert dance) its small size makes
it much more private for the real folk!
Sorry to take so long to get to this point but if you have not been
to Sheffield I would certainly recommend going just for a different night
out!
I am sure other people on this list will have better views than me,
but that's mine.
