I think we may have been here before, but hear, hear to the Make-Up being
best live. I saw them twice, urrgh, can't remember when, but they were
wearing crazy yellow suits (? could that be right) and they played twice,
once at Barrowlands in Glasgow supporting, maybe, Sonic Youth (tho' to be
honest the headline band just didn't register that night after the Make-Up's
performance) and then at a totally mad small, sweaty, packed-out gig at the
Art School in Glasgow, where Ian Svenonius would, we swear, have swung from
the rafters, had there been any to swing from... Are the new records any
cop? And hey, if they've just played Manchester, are they still in the
country. Any more UK dates to play, or all done?
