My impression of Portland was rather favourable,apart from the patchoulli
doused hippies and flannel (with optional hobnail logging boots)clad.
Lived for a period in Portland, then later in a more rural area called
"Battleground" in Wa. Finished my contract there and came back to sunny So
Cal. But in all I enjoyed myself,did not meet many Mods, but the scooterists
were all a good bunch. And Great Food! Is Jakes still open, and what about
the oyster bar across from the "24 hour Church of Elvis"? You seem to be
giving a hard time to a city that I rather enjoyed, granted I did not spend
my adolescent years there.
