I too was in attendance on Sat night getting there for about 11.30pm
after going to a gig beforehand. Had to be said I throughly enjoyed
myself and thought the music was excellent even if a lot of the
tracks were unfamilar to myself.
Dancefloor is nice in that I like the way it was raised above the
rest of the area. Howver got to say the venue is a bit of a dump
being that it in essence a hotel function room in a shitty area of
town. To be honest not really what I would call a mod club(yes I
know we can dicuss this ad infinitum) more of a club for people
really into the music and nothing else, hence the very wide span
of ages. Nothing wrong in this mind just an observation. Also apart
from a few moddish dressed types, standard of clothing was very
mainstream ( ie spotted at least two leather trouser wearers!!), but
as you would expect from 45 year olds.
Worth going to certainly but a Mod club in music alone(and only one
type of Mod music).
